Toni, a cherished member of her community and a devoted teacher in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025, in South Ogden, Utah. Born on March 10, 1943, in Ogden, Utah to R. Owen and Dorothy Croxford, Toni exemplified a life of service, kindness, and dedication to others.

She married Harold Bruce Ward on November 26, 1963 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they had two children, Wendi and Jeffrey.

Toni earned a Bachelor of Education from Weber State University. This educational background supported her lifelong passion for teaching, where she inspired young minds in the 2nd grade at Lomand View Elementary and through her roles as a Young Women’s leader and primary teacher within her church community. Toni also excelled in her career as a Pharmacy Technician, marked by her commitment to helping those in need, ensuring they received the best care possible.

Beyond her professional and spiritual pursuits, Toni found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a profound love for gardening, where her green thumb transformed surroundings into vibrant spaces and provided nourishment for her loved ones. Toni also delighted in camping and boating, embracing the beauty of nature with her family and friends. Her competitive spirit shone through her love for tennis, where she spent many happy hours on the court.

Later in life Toni dedicated her time as a volunteer at Ogden Regional Medical Center and worked with Visiting Angels. Through her selfless contributions, she touched countless lives, embodying the spirit of compassion and grace.

Toni leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and a deep commitment to the community that will be remembered by all whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Toni is survived by her husband, Bruce Ward; children, Wendi Wells and Jeffrey (Heather) Ward, 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and brother, Robert Croxford. She was preceded in death by her parents, R. Owen and Dorothy Croxford and brother, Stephen Croxford.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 W. 5600 S. Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
