Eva Taylor Bullock, a one-of-a-kind wife, mother, sister, grandma, and friend, passed away on May 19, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on August 6, 1935, to John and Katherine Taylor, the ninth of ten children. All but one of her siblings have previously passed on and it will be a welcome reunion for them all.
While working at Bob's Bar-B-Q, Eva met Milton Bullock, a cute redhead. That chance meeting sparked a memorable story that would span more than 69 years of marriage, which was sealed in the Logan Temple. Together, they raised four children - all born within 5 years, Sherri (Kevin) Jackson, Judy Coleman, Robert Bullock, and Larie Bullock. The loss of their youngest daughter, in a car accident at age 20, left a lasting heartbreak that Eva carried with absolute strength.
Eva was a tiny, feisty five-foot-nothin’ powerhouse who spoke her mind and didn’t tolerate much nonsense, but when she laughed it was large and contagious — she kept an immaculate home and took great pride in having one of the best-kept yards in Washington Terrace. She had a huge garden and canned everything under the sun, and she made a killer potato salad that everyone loved, but no one could duplicate.
Eva never missed her kids’ ball games and was their loudest cheerleader from the bleachers. Bowling was a lifelong passion of hers. She served as secretary to various bowling leagues for over 60 years—a role she was devoted to. Even after retiring from that responsibility, she and Milton bowled three times a week; she only stopped when her knees finally refused to cooperate a year ago.
Eva left her mark on everyone who crossed her path and was deeply loyal to her family.
Eva is survived by her dear husband, Milton Bullock; her daughters, Sherri (Kevin) Jackson and Judy Coleman; her son, Robert Bullock; and her younger brother, Jerry Taylor; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Larie; her parents, John and Katherine Taylor; and eight of her nine siblings and their spouses: Seth (Gladys) Taylor, Byron (Dorothy) Taylor, Melvin (Bonnie) Taylor, Leroy (Ruth) Taylor, Kay (Mike) Aiello, Tillie (Bob) Eiccholz, Elva Jensen, and Dottie (Mark) Defranco.
