Our sweet granny, grandma, mom, sister, and aunt is having a joyous reunion with her loved ones.
Esther Jensen Anderson was born February 20, 1936, in Gunnison, Utah to Pearl Adell Jorgensen and Ezra K Jensen and left her earthly body April 30, 2025.
Esther grew up in Sterling, Utah with her younger siblings, Ramona, Jimmy, LaVee, Colleen and Joe.
She married Worrell Edgar Anderson on January 22, 1954, in Sterling. Their marriage was solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple on February 9, 1974. They made their home in Wilson, (now West Haven) Utah where they raised their two children, Curtis and Sharon. Worrell passed away February 7, 1980.
Esther moved to Ogden in 1991 and soon after had the blessing of raising her bonus children, Heather, Ryan, Austin and Mariah.
As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she served in several positions. Her favorite being Ward Librarian and a Visiting Teacher.
Esther participated in a bowling league for many years. She knitted and crocheted sharing her many creations, along with her yummy hard tack candy. Her hands were always busy.
She treasured her many friendships she made working at Sierra Lingerie, Levelor, and Walmart.
Esther is survived by her children, Curtis (Michele) Anderson, and Sharon (Ted) Payne; grandchildren, Heather Oman, Austin (Candy) Jensen, Mariah (Aldo) Hernandez, Justin Curtis (Kathryne) Anderson, Challis (Kadi) Anderson, Chalese Lloyd and Tiffani Steele; seven great-grandchildren with one on the way and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband; grandson, Ryan Oman; parents; sister, Ramona Erickson; and brother, Jim Jensen.
The family would like to thank Atlas Homecare and Hospice for their loving care and service for Esther. And to Mariah Hernandez for being the best granddaughter, caregiver, supporter, fighter, medicine giver, hairdresser, cheerleader, and everything in between to let Esther live her last years in the comfort of her home.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
