Emma Thresa Ropelato Walling

Emma Walling, 81, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2012 at the home of her daughter, Terry in Ripon, California. She was born on October 31, 1930 to Oreste S. and Thresa M Borgogno Ropelato.

She was raised in Ogden and graduated from Weber High School in 1948. On August 7, 1953 she married Richard Jerry Walling at the Mansion House in Ogden. She retired from the IRS in 1990 with over 25 years of service.

Emma was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church. She resided in Ogden at her home until 2 years ago when she moved to California to live with Terry. Emma was a homemaker, who loved gardening, and dancing. She was full of life and enjoyed traveling. Her greatest passion was spending time with her family. She loved to be with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Terry (Robert) James; 5 grandsons: Brent L., Brad J. (Robyn), Brodie (Emma), and Trevor (Danielle) Walling and Brendan James; 1 granddaughter, Tiffany James; 2 great-grandsons; 4 great-granddaughters; 1 sister, Joanne (Charlie) Ramadino; 1 stepson, Doug Walling; and many dear cousins and nephews.

Emma was preceded in death by her husband; son, Dean and parents.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 23, 2012 at 12 p.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 1100 East 5550 South. Friends may visit family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. with Rosary at 7 p.m. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
