SALT LAKE CITY a€" Elmo Leroy Turner, 67, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011 at his home.

He was a proud son who shared the same birthday of June 2, with his mother Ardella Nelson Turner. He was born June 2, 1944 in Brigham City, Utah.

Elmo married Diane Klev on March 28, 1987 in Clearfield, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple.

He was an active member of the LDS Church and served as Ward Activity Director with his wife.

Surviving are his wife Diane, son Larry, West Valley; daughters, Georena Fellows, CA; Tammie, OR; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, Rodger Turner, Howard Turner, sisters, Geralide (Jerry), Rayola Swapp and Lana Von Miller.

Preceded in death by his infant daughter Annette, parents and brother Edward Turner.

Graveside services will be held Friday, December 23, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Clearfield City Cemetery, 1050 South State Street. Friends may visit family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
