Ellen LuDeen Beckstead

June 15, 1942 — January 22, 2024

Our loving mother officially got her wings in the early evening of Monday January 22, 2024.

She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Leo and Effie Glover on June 15, 1942

LuDeen met LaMont and fell in love immediately.  They married in Carson City, Nevada on May 10, 1957.  They shared 65 wonderful years together and enjoyed every second of it.

She absolutely enjoyed camping, fishing, shooting target practice and rock hunting with children, but most of all with the love of her life, her husband.

She had many hobbies including crocheting, embroidery, quilting, plastic canvas, cross stitching, and many other crafts.

Her yard was her sanctuary. Constant blooming flowers year round.  She spent her relaxing time on the patio watching the hummingbirds surrounding her feeders.

Her heart shined bright upon everyone she knew and loved back by everyone in return.  She will be dearly missed.

Mom loved her family with all her heart. She was an excellent cook and made wonderful desserts, always making sure everyone’s bellies were full and satisfied.

LuDeen is survived by her children; Doyle (Brenda) Beckstead, Darwin Beckstead, Chris (Mary Huffman) Beckstead, and Debbie (Rick) Draper, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, brother Lyle Glover and sisters, Cleo Chenoweth and Linda Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her eternal soulmate her husband, LaMont Beckstead, parents, brothers; Charles and Jay Glover, sisters; Lois Mabey and Arlene Knight.

The family would like to thank Heritage Park Nursing Home and Lindquist’s Mortuaries and Cemeteries.
