Elizabeth deBruyn Robinson
January 23, 1930 ~ January 26, 2022
Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Betty Elizabeth deBruyn Robinson “Dutch”, 92, left this earth peacefully on Wednesday, January 26, 2022.
She was born January 23, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Leonard and Effie deBruyn. She graduated from South High School.
On March 26, 1953, Betty married the love of her life, Max Robinson, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Max took this city girl and quickly turned her into a country girl. They resided in Mt. Green, Utah and she has been there ever since. Together they had two children, Kim Elizabeth (Jeff) Gooch and Wells “Butch” (Jeannie) Robinson.
Betty worked a lot of years for Browning in the warehouse and in the bow plant. Betty also loved sports. She was very good at softball, bowling, swimming and shooting. She loved to travel and spend time with her family. She also had a love for her mini poodles.
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she held many callings. One that she did for many years was the ward librarian.
Betty is survived by her children, Kim Elizabeth (Jeff) Gooch and Wells “Butch” (Jeannie) Robinson; her siblings, Don deBruyn and Darlene Wheeler; 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Max; her parents, Leonard and Effie and her grandson, Shannon Robinson.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 31, 2022, 11 am at the Mt. Green LDS Church, 5378 W. Old Highway Road, Mt. Green Utah 84050. Interment, Mountain Green Cemetery. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
