Elizabeth Joyce Edward Hock

November 18, 1923 — November 24, 2024

Bountiful

A long-awaited reunion evolved on November 24, 2024 as Joyce, with outstretched arms, ecstatically embraced her sons Douglas and Roger, and her husband Irv, in that heavenly place.

Joyce was born on November 18, 1923 in Salt Lake City to Nina Marie Oberg and William Taylor Edward. Her two siblings, Shirley Tibbs and William (Bill), O.Edward, M.D. and special sister-in-law Mary Lou Edward (all deceased) are most deeply loved by her.

Her life took on terrific joy when her two most adored grandchildren, Allison Marie Hock and Ryan Douglas Hock, entered this world, and they have meant the “world” to her ever since. She married Irving A. Hock during the frantic World War II era, and post-war worked with him side by side in a family business until 1972 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She, with her husband and son Roger, returned to Utah and has resided in Bountiful for 50 plus years.

Her two grandchildren, and endeared daughter-in-law Margaret, survive her.

At Joyce’s request, private family graveside services were held in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
