Elaine Waldron Page

October 2, 1935 — April 4, 2026

Listen to Obituary

Elaine Waldron Page passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026, after several days spent with various family members by her side who loved and adored her.

Elaine was born on October 2, 1935, in Ogden, Utah to Stewart G. and Louise Butters Waldron. She was the first of six children and grew up in Morgan Valley. It was here where her work ethic started. She learned to work on the dairy farm and helped with her younger siblings (especially her brother “Jackie” with special needs). Elaine graduated from Morgan High School in 1953. She was one of only eight girls in her graduating class of 42 students.

Elaine married Joseph K. Page on June 27, 1952, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They got married on a Friday and Joe shipped out with the Navy three days later. Together they raised four children in West Layton, lovingly teaching them what hard work and dedication looked like through their example. After their family was raised, they moved to South Ogden and later to Syracuse. After retiring, Joe and Elaine enjoyed traveling, cruising, snow-birding in St. George and Yuma, Arizona, spending time with their children, grandchildren and most of all with each other. Joe passed away on November 15, 2010, after many years of exceptional care from Elaine.

Elaine later married David L. Jones in Syracuse on May 20, 2017. They enjoyed road trips, family activities and attending plays. Elaine’s children are very grateful to Dave for caring for their mom during these delicate years.

Among numerous jobs, Elaine worked ten years at Layton Drug. Many recognized her familiar face from behind that counter for many years after. She loved the color blue, new things, gabbing with loved ones and laughing with her people. At one time you could have found her cleaning (including the neighbors outdoor light fixtures), walking with friends, attending local plays, cleaning, playing Mexican Train, taking trips “into the city”, cleaning, traveling, hosting girl cousin sleepovers, helping those around her who needed a meal or a ride and did we mention cleaning?

Elaine was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We are grateful for the knowledge of our loving Savior who makes it possible for each of us to be with our mother, grandmother and sister again and she will be whole.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe; brother Jack Waldron; granddaughter, Annette Page; and four angel great grand babies.

She is survived by her husband, David Jones; her children: Steven (Susan) Page, Kaysville; Larry (Ronda) Page, Ivins; James (Kathy) Page, Hooper; and Lisa (Craig) Adamson, Layton; 15 grandchildren and an ever-growing posterity of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Elaine is also survived by her siblings: Jeanine Carter, Dee Waldron, Christine Andrews and Leon Waldron.

The family would like to offer special thanks to Debbie and Yessie from Applegate Hospice for their tender care of our mom these last few months and to Aimee and her wonderful staff at the Syracuse Beehive Home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Center Ward, 2228 S 1660 W, Syracuse. Friends may visit with family Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Interment at the Syracuse Cemetery. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Syracuse Mortuary.

Elaine will be remembered for her loyalty, work ethic, witty humor, loving her family and having the best laugh in the room. Oh, and she sure loved to clean. Her legacy lives on in all of us still here and we are better for it.

Service will be live-streamed and available the day of service by scrolling to the bottom of Elaine’s obituary page where condolences may also be shared.
