Elaine Cook Allen

We regretfully announce the passing of our beautiful mother/grandmother/great-grandmother, Elaine Cook Allen on May 5, 2023. Elaine passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long, difficult battle with COPD and she is finally at rest. She will be forever loved and forever remembered.

Elaine was born in Ogden, Utah, on June 1^st, 1946, to Jesse D Cook and Ruth Hamblin Cook. She graduated from Ogden High School and attended Stevens-Henager College. Elaine lived most of her life in Roy, Utah, and worked as a Tax Examiner at IRS. She was briefly married to Harry Malan and had one daughter, Lyndee; she then married her soul mate Richard Dean Allen on September 16, 1972, in Elko, Nevada. They had a son, Danny, and daughter, Mindy, who was her best friend.

Elaine loved to spend time with her family; especially her grandchildren - Cory (Anna) Dunn, Danny (Sarah) Dunn, Stefanee Dunn, and Shayna (Robbie) Taylor, and great-grandchildren - Rylee and Trey Taylor, and Aleksander, Andres, and Christian Dunn.

Elaine is survived by her daughters Mindy Allen and Lyndee (Wally) Dunn; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Campbell; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, husband, brother - James Cook and sister -Barbara Frost.

We are not having standard services per Elaine’s request; however, a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. We appreciate your love and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to assist with funeral expenses.
