Edward Nicholas Poboy

Edward Nicholas Poboy, 54, passed away June 1, 2023, in Spring Lake, NC doing what he loved best, visiting with family and friends laughing and enjoying the night.

Ed was born January 27, 1969, to Nicholas and Loretta Poboy in New Jersey. He was the eldest of three siblings, brother, Andy Poboy and sister, Loretta VanDyke. He was raised in the military and was able to make friends wherever he was.

Ed married Hollie Poboy and they had two daughters together, Katherine and Elizabeth, they were the twinkles in his eyes. He very much enjoyed his grandchildren, AnnMarrie and Lorcan, which in their eyes was the very best Paw Paw.

Ed was a Navy man and had many adventures all around the world. He enjoyed getting trinkets for his wife and children.

Ed enjoyed music and loved to party!! He loved getting together with family and friends, fire pits and just enjoying the night.

He is survived by his wife, Hollie, daughters, Katherine and Elizabeth, and grandchildren, AnnMarrie and Lorcan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Nicholas Poboy.

Edward’s services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. There will also be a tribute by the VFW Honor Guard.
