Edward Elmer Miles

ROY – Edward Elmer Miles, age 88, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2012, at his home with his family at his side. He was born March 17, 1924 in Los Angeles, CA, the son of Carmi D. and Mary Cullen Miles. Edward attended school in San Bernardino, California and graduated from San Bernardino High School. Edward was a pilot in the Air Force during World War II and the Korean War. He retired from the US Air Force in 1963. He worked at Hill AFB as a computer programmer retiring in 1985. He married Helen Florence Christensen on December 28, 1946 in Ogden. He is survived by his wife, Helen, his children, Edward E, Michael R., and Marina, 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Bill Miles, Ramona, CA. Edward was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and a sister. The family would like to thank Dr. Biddulph for his compassionate care. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Hill Air Force Base Museum Chapel, 7961 Wardleigh Road Hill, Air Force Base 84056. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. Interment, West Weber Cemetery where military honors will be accorded.
