Edith W. Volk

Edith W. Volk, 81, passed away Monday, May 7, 2007 at McKay-Dee Hospital after suffering a stroke.

She was born June 10, 1925 in Gremsdorf, Germany, the only child of Georg and Selma Walter.

Edith immigrated to Stamford, Connecticut in June of 1955 where she married Thomas Volk. He preceded her in death on December 17, 1995. In March of 2005, Edith moved to Hooper, Utah to be near her family, after living in Florida for 25 years.

She is survived by her son, Hans W. and daughter-in-law, Pam Volk, Hooper; grandsons, Thomas J. (Ulku) Volk, Germany; Matthew S. and Carson J. Volk , Hooper; granddaughter, Tracey Sleeper, Germany; and great-grandchildren, Whitney Chaney, Kalin Sleeper, and Elena Volk, all of Germany. Honoring her wishes there will be no formal services. Her immediate family will celebrate her life at a private family dinner in Hooper.
