Edith Maurine Solomon Thomas

Edith Maurine Solomon Thomas, 85, our loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on March 27, 2022 at her home in Kaysville, Utah.  She was born March 19, 1937 to Hyrum Charles Solomon and Maurine Genevieve Bateman Solomon in the Cottonwood Maternity Home in Murray, Utah. She attended Webster Elementary, Brockbank Junior High and graduated from Cyprus High School. Her siblings are Darlene Solomon Jensen (deceased) and James Earl Solomon.

Edith married Ted Wilde Thomas on January 3, 1955 in the Salt Lake Temple.  She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She served in many positions, Den mother, teacher and her favorite calling was Primary chorister that she served in for many years.

Mom loved being in the outdoors. Loved fishing and camping, traveling in the truck and camper.  Took many trips with friends and family.  One of her greatest joys was spending time with her children,  grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Ted, children; Kenneth (Karen) Thomas, Mark (Debbie) Thomas, Sharlene (Rulan-deceased) Christensen, Brenda (Brad) Lillywhite, brother James (Susan) Solomon, nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, and son-in-law.

The family would like to send special thanks to Hospice – Tender Care – especially to Katy, Melissa and Stephanie for all their loving care to Mom.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Kaysville Rock Chapel, 25 So. 200 E., Kaysville, Utah.  Friends may visit with family Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 No. Main St., Kaysville, Utah and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
