Earl Ward Miller, 77, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2010 at McKay-Dee Hospital.
He was born March 31, 1933 in Keystone, California to Freddie Ward and Mildred Deserano Miller.
He served in the United States Army. He worked as a Heavy Mobile Equipment Supervisor at MCLB, Barstow, CA for 16 years.
On August 10, 1996, Earl married Joyce England in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He was a member of the LDS Church.
He enjoyed working, camping and playing with his grandkids all the while whistling a happy tune.
Earl is survived by his wife, Joyce; two sons, Jeff, Barstow, CA; Steve (Rhonda), Medford Lakes, NJ; a daughter, Shiela (Jose) Romo, Victorville, CA; a step-son, Bob (Rosemary) England, Hooper; two step-daughters, Vickie Walling, Riverdale; Shellie (Dennis) Griggs, Roy; 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Irvin (Joan), Los Alamitos, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Pat Blackard, Donna Bland, and a brother, Fred.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 4th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends and family may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
