Dorothy Faye Paterakis

Dorothy Faye Paterakis, 97, passed away on January 15, 2026. She was the daughter of Alton Young and Celia Sperry Young. She was blessed with one brother and three sisters.

Dorothy married Allen Paterakis on June 10, 1944, and they were the parents of five children.

Dorothy worked for Sweets Candy Company. She was very busy raising her children and her love of gardening, canning, sewing, ceramics and painting, but her special talent was the love she gave to her family and friends and the generosity she gave to everyone.

She is survived by her children, Monty (Debbie), Sherry (Bob), Mona (Dave), Karen (Mike), Debbie (Curtis), 18 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings.

A private celebration of life with family will be held at a later date.

The family would like to express gratitude and thanks to Sunridge Assisted Living and Atlas and a special thanks to Mary. We appreciate the love and care you gave our dear mom.

Interment will be held Tuesday, January 20th, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist's Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
