Doris was a twin born May 12, 1931, in National City, CA, daughter of Mamie Roberts and Merle V. Griffin. 

On August 27, 1951, Doris married Val Dean Baker in El Cajon, CA. They moved to Ogden, UT in 1953 and lived in Sunset, UT from 1955 - 2026.

Doris was raised and educated in California and Washington. She graduated from Walla Walla College Academy and attended Walla Walla College in College Place, WA. She also attended Paradise Valley School of Nursing in National City, CA.

Doris worked at Hill AFB for 19 years and retired as a System Analyst.

She was an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, serving in several positions, including Church Treasurer and Church Ministries Secretary for many years.

Doris is survived by her husband, Val Baker; son, Greg Baker of Forest Ranch, CA; daughter, Terri Vatne of Tumwater, WA; 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; her older brother, Clarence Griffin; her twin brother, Delbert Griffin; and her youngest child, Randall Baker.

Inurnment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, Garden Niche, 4500 Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT.
