Dorene Chambers

Dorene Chambers Dorene Chambers, 94, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 27, 2012. She was born on September 18, 1917 to J. Fred and Emeline Cook Walker. She attended Ogden City Schools and graduated from Ogden High School. She married Edward G. “Bud” Chambers on September 25, 1935 in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in December of 1938. Bud and Dorene ran the Chambers Music Company. Bud passed away in 1985. Dorene loved to shop and read. She was very fond of chocolate and enjoyed going out to eat. She was a friend to everyone she met and maintained those friendships throughout her life. She loved animals, especially her dogs, and enjoyed spending time with her friends playing games. She was a great hostess and organizer and we are sure she is still using those talents. She is survived by her sons, Lowell (Lucille) Chambers; and Alan (Donna) Chambers; daughter, Margo (John) Law; 8 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Dorene was preceded in death by her husband, Edward G. Chambers; parents, 4 brothers, and a sister. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. The family would like to thank Vickie, Dawn and Britney of Intermountain Home Care for their love and care of Dorene.
