Donna B. Larson
Donna B. Larson from Layton passed away on December 12, 2011 while surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on March 11, 1924 in Evanston, Wyoming. During her life she lived in Park City, Ogden and raised her family in Layton, Utah.
She was employed at Hill AFB where she retired after 28 years as an Instrument Repair Supervisor. After her retirement she enjoyed camping and hunting with her family, bowling, growing roses in her garden and tending many of her grandchildren.
Donna was a member of the LDS Aspen Cove Ward.
She married Howard Macfarlane who passed away in 1966. She married Leo L. Larson who passed away in 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents, John and Harriet Barnes, her sister Wilma Padjen, brother-in-law John Padjen, her brother Orval "OJ" Barnes and sister-in-law, Jessie Barnes.
Surviving are her two sons, Dan A. (Beverly) Macfarlane, Sunset; Jim I. (Peggy) Macfarlane, Layton; two daughters, Nan (Steven) Shafer, West Valley; Karry Larson, Ogden; three brothers, Lamar (Faye) Barnes, Hermiston, WA; Edwin (Joyce) Barnes, Red Bluff, CA; Billy (Lynn) Barnes, Layton; sister-in-law, Effie Barnes, Layton; 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and several loving and caring nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road,
