Donna May Hines passed away on July 16, 2022 at her home in Ogden, Utah. She was born November 15, 1966 to Cathy May Thompson Hines Atkinson and Walter Bernice Hines in Kemmerer, Wyoming.

Donna was a Union worker doing road construction for many years. Her last job was at Maverik as a cashier where she would greet you with a smile and a conversation. She always had a way of making other people’s day better no matter where she was at or what was going on. Donna touched so many people’s hearts and life’s and for that she was loved by so many people. 

Donna was survived by her longtime boyfriend, Val Vigil; her children, Cyle Thompson, Amanda Hines, Anthony Hines, and Lula Hines; her mom, Cathy Thompson Hines Atkinson; and her siblings, Buddy (Linda) Hines, Monika Jennings, and Troy Atkinson; her nephews and nieces, Toby (Lyssa) Elmer, Brycton (Emily) Elmer, Teisha (Rex) Hines, Aisha (Daniel) Elmer, Amber (Jeremy) Hines, Caila (Randy) Ashworth, Shaylyn (James) Hines, and Chantel (Ethan) Boston and her grandnephews and grandnieces.

Preceded in death by her dad, Walter Hines and grandparents, Lula Thompson, Willford Thompson, Coy Hines, and Bessie and Herb Shade.

Some of Donna’s favorite things were masks, praying hands, and anything Dallas Cowboy. She always wore her sweatpants inside out and rolled up cause that was just her thing along with always being cold even if it was hot outside. She was the type of person who would make you feel welcomed and loved.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
