Donna Bodily Hansen

Donna Bodily Hansen, 84, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012 at her home.

She was born May 10, 1928 in Syracuse, Utah to Fred Arnold and Julia Tree Bodily.

On November 28, 1945, Donna married the love of her life, James C. Hansen in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on May 14, 1990.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints where she served as Stake Young Women''s President, Ward Relief Society President (twice), served in the California Arcadia mission and various other callings. Donna was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and a Golden Gleaner. She loved people and enjoyed serving others.

She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, gardening and playing the piano and organ. Earlier in her life, she delivered newspapers for the Ogden Standard Examiner, delivering over 500 newspapers daily.

Donna is survived by her children, James Craig (Liz), Garth William (Janice), Brian Bodily (Janet), Klea (Clair), Julee (Kevin), foster daughter, Charlene; daughter-in-law, Mary; 29 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C., one son, Scott, one daughter-in-law, Rhonda, parents, one sister and one brother.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 26th at 11 a.m. at the Syracuse 2nd Ward Chapel, 2228 South 1660 West, Syracuse.

The family will meet with friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
