Donna Lou Bolin Davis

January 30, 1939 — June 20, 2024

It is with a tender heart that we announce the passing of our angel mother, Donna Lou Bolin Davis on June 20, 2024 in Syracuse, Utah at the age of 85. She passed into heaven peacefully, surrounded by her family, to be reunited with her dear husband just 6 weeks after his passing.

Donna was born January 30, 1939 to Homer and Venita Bolin in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Donna and her family moved across the country to Inglewood, California and later to Hemet, California. Donna graduated from Hemet High School in 1956. It was in Hemet where Donna met the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Davis. Bob and Donna were married on February 3, 1957. In 1962, Bob and Donna were sealed for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles Temple. Bob and Donna raised seven beautiful children. Laurie Anne (Ian), Robert (Laura), Heidi (Glen), Bradley (Sandi), Matthew (Melissa), Allison (Darren), and Emily (Spencer).

Bob and Donna ran a successful construction and electrical business together for many years. In Donna’s free time she enjoyed gardening, reading, writing poetry and being with her children and grandchildren. She also loved to solve sudoku puzzles and word games. Donna was also well known for teaching her children and grandchildren poetry, especially on road trips. She loved spending time with her 29 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren. Donna loved her family unconditionally.

Donna was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served the Lord generously with her time, talents, and efforts. She served a full time mission with her husband in Cambodia and Vancouver, Canada as well as several stake missions. She fulfilled many callings in the church including Relief Society President and seminary teacher. Donna exemplified Christ-like love throughout her life, radiating kindness, compassion, patience, and love to all around her. She particularly cherished working and spending time in the temple and doing family history work

She was survived in death by her dear sister and brother Karen Bolin Lenecker (Al) and Richard Bolin (Kay). Donna was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert Davis and parents Homer and Venita Bolin.
