DONNA MAE CHRISTENSEN

Donna Mae Christensen, 89, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012.

She was born July 29, 1922 in Garfield, UT the daughter of Howard C. and Cora Jane Covington Marsden. Her youth was spent growing up in Burley, ID and as an adult lived in Bountiful, UT, Glendale, AZ, Morgan Hills, CA, Roy UT, and Port Orford, OR.

Donna married Jack Stanley Christensen on July 8, 1944 in Redondo Beach, CA.

Donna''s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren filled her life with love and joy. She enjoyed coloring with her grandchildren and doing crossword puzzles. Mom loved yard work and always had a beautiful flower garden.

Surviving are her three sons, John C. (Karen) Christensen, Auburn, CA; Rick L. (Pat) Christensen, Layton, UT; and Dennis S. Christensen, Verdi, NV; 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Kaye Winn, Burley, ID; Veloy Lewis, Declo, ID; and Betty Newberry, Twin Falls, ID.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son, one brother and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. Family will meet with friends from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services.

Interment, Bear River Cemetery, Bear River City, UT.
