Donald Manuel Vierra

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald (Don) Manuel Vierra, age 85, of Syracuse, Utah. Don passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on September 16, 1939, in Santa Clara, California, to Anne Marie Costa and Manuel John Vierra, Don lived a life defined by service, strength, and deep devotion to those he loved. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, he served honorably from December 18, 1956, until his retirement on September 30, 1980. Following his military service, he continued supporting his country as a civilian employee at Hill Air Force Base.

Above all, Don was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, O-Hsiang Vierra, and his eight children: Donna Fudge, David Vierra, Denise Payne, Dennis Vierra, Darlene Castillo, Duane Vierra, Cathleen Price, and Anthony Vierra. He also leaves behind a cherished legacy of 30 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and his grandchildren, Brenna Reign Vierra, Kendra Rhodes Vierra, and Jeffrey Fudge.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his dedication, quick wit, and unwavering love for his family.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Syracuse Mortuary. 869 South 2000 West, Syracuse UT. Friends may visit with family on Monday, June 16, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Arrangements are entrusted to Lindquist Memorial Parks, at Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
