Donny Knighton

September 5, 1959 — May 11, 2022

Farmington

Donny Knighton passed away May 11, 2022, at his home in Farmington, Utah in the loving care of Camy Knighton and Scott Gardner.

Donny was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, September 5, 1959, to parents Luann (Stark) and Floyd Kaye Knighton.

Donny was a special soul whom everyone loved, and we’re heartbroken to see him go.

In the early years of Donny’s life, he became very sick which left him with disabilities that were beyond his control, but he never let it stop him from living a full and happy life.

As a child Donny enjoyed playing with his brothers, sisters, extended family, all the kids in the neighborhood, and all the animals that he came across. Donny loved sleeping all day and staying up all night listening to his police scanner, playing music, going through his coin collection, and watching cartoons. His favorite things to do were riding motorcycles, 4 wheelers, driving his truck, working at his family’s restaurant, camping, fishing, and most of all having parties with family, and many friends.

Donny was a one-of-a-kind person with the biggest heart. He always had a smile on his face and was always happy (especially when he had a smoke in his mouth, and a drink by his side.) People loved to be around him because he was the life of the party.

Although we are so sad to see him go, he is now free from all the limitations that he’s had to endure throughout his life. Have fun Donny flying high with the angels, and playing with Joe, Laura, Mom & Dad, and everyone you’ve missed for so long. We love you so much and can’t wait until we see you again.

Donny is survived by his siblings: Kenny (Shirley) Knighton, Kathy (Doug) Gardner, Bryan (Darla) Knighton, Ryan (Shauna) Knighton, Karl Knighton, and many nieces & nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents: Floyd Kaye & Luann Knighton, brother Joe Knighton, and sister Laura Knighton.

We want to thank Elevation Hospice (Monica), and Suzy Senior Companionship (Vianey, and Alison) for all their help, and loving care.

Thank you, Scott, for all the love, and time you have given to the care of our wonderful uncle.

Also, a very special and heartfelt thank you to Camy for taking care of, and welcoming Donny into your heart, and home. You are an amazing niece that made his final years very happy, and memorable for him. He Loves You Very Much!
