Donald Frank Douglas Sr., beloved husband and father passed away on March 18, 2026 from natural causes at the age of 89. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Della and Lawrence Douglas. Donald touched the lives of many with his sense of humor, smile, and kindness to others.
Donald met and married his high school sweetheart Mary Livers. After graduation he joined the United States Air Force. Donald and Mary had four children; Joyce, Donald Jr., Clinton, and Desiree. The military took them overseas as well as all over the states.
He was an avid bowler and billiards player. Donald participated in tournaments and won many trophies. He loved bowling so much that Mary would tease him saying "she was going to put a bowling ball in this hands to take with him, if he passed away before her."
Donald and his family arrived at Hill Air Fore Base, Utah; where he retired from he military. He continued to work as a civilian at Hill AFB for another 42 years. Receiving many awards from his supervisors and Commanding Officers.
Donald was a member of the True Vine Baptist Church, for forty years, being one of the first ushers at True Vine. Donald was on the Board of Trustees, and remained faithful in all of his endeavors until his passing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Bobby, Billie, Eddie and Larry. He is survived by his wife Mary; their four children, Joyce, Donald Jr., Clinton and Desiree; his sister Sheila, 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Donald was well liked, loved and respected his family and friends and will be forever truly missed. We love you Dad!

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd. Layton, Utah. Friends may visit with family Thursday prior to services from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment will follow at Lindquist Memorial Park at Layton.
