Donald (Brigg) Petro passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Nov 9, 2025. Born on February 23, 1944 in SLC to parents Samuel B Petrofesa & Donna Worthen.
Growing up in the Clearfield area Don emerged himself in everything a small boy in the 1950's could do from duck hunting with his father, farm life, & ANYTHING that had power.
Don graduated from Davis High School in 1962, after graduating Don served in the National Guard.
Don spent his younger years guiding hunting trips but began his career by starting his own business A & A Construction.
Don has definitely dug his mark on this earth through the many "Side Jobs" of his work. Spending countless hours behind the wheel of a rig was Don's favorite place to be, aside from the end of a fishing pole or golf club.
He was the first guy to show up with precise detail when you needed a hole dug, Grumpy as ever but happy to do it!
Don's true happiness came with his 'Racing Family', Don & his brother (Bob Petro) spent almost 20 years building & mud racing. With Don's skills & talents he excelled & reached to the top level of the racing circuit.
With Don's first marriage he had a son Jerry Petro & daughter Melinda Petro. Years later trying marriage for a second time, Don was blessed with a second son Chance Petro.
Don is proceeded in death by his parents Samuel Petrofesa , Donna Worthen-Petro & son Jerry Petro. He is survived by his brother Bob (DeAnn) Petro, sisters MaryLnn Egbert, Kay (Rick) Buckley, Joy (Kelly) Petro, daughter Melinda Petro (Ron Gines), son Chance Petro, stepson Logan Mcloy (Savannah). Grandkids Kerrick & Sequoia Gines.
Don will be greatly missed & was loved by his brother, sisters, cousins, many nieces, nephews, friends & Dirt Crew!
