Dolores Marie Toy Cowdin
Dolores Marie Toy Cowdin loving, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away peacefully April 2, 2012 surrounded by family and friends.
She was born October 20, 1928 to Arthur Raymond and Marion Maldonado Toy in Omaha, Nebraska.
Dolores married Neil Frank Cowdin on August 11, 1961 in the Logan LDS Temple. They settled into their beloved home in Uintah, Utah where she lived the majority of her life. She deeply cherished her relationships with family, friends and the many children she provided daycare for in her home.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she held many callings. Her favorite was that of a Primary Teacher.
Dolores is survived by her children: Denise (Donald) Ballingham, Uintah; Douglas K. Cowdin, Ogden; David (Debbie) Cowdin, South Weber; Marilyn (Ivan) Madsen, Pocatello, ID; and Darcel (Mike) Bindrup, Washington Terrace; 27 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and sisters, Bernice Moberg, Evelyn Boldt, and Phyllis McCawley. She was preceded in death by her loving husband; grandson, Morgan Cowdin; brothers, George and Arthur; sisters, Betty Jean Toy and Virginia Smith.
The family wishes to thank the Manor Care staff and the many friends and neighbors who have shown their kindness and love.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Uintah 1st Ward, 6660 South 1775 East. Friends may visit family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Uintah Cemetery.
