Dennis Michael Wilson, 84, of Clinton, Utah, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Dennis was born on May 31, 1941, in Ogden, Utah, to Elwood Woodrow Wilson and Norma Harris Wilson. As their eldest child and only son, Dennis spent most of his youth in West Ogden. During his high school years, the family moved to Roy, where he graduated from Weber High School before attending Weber State College.

A devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dennis served a mission in the North Central States and Canada. He held various church leadership positions throughout his life, especially cherishing his time serving in the Country Pines Branch Presidency.

On October 8, 1964, Dennis married the love of his life, Judith (Judy) Lynne Kearns in the Logan Utah Temple. His devotion to her remained unwavering throughout their marriage. He found pure joy in dancing with his sweetheart and cherished every moment they shared together. Their recent celebration of 61 years together stood as a testament to his enduring love and commitment.

A natural craftsman, Dennis was skilled at building and fixing things with his hands. A passion that would also shape his professional path which included 10 years with Union Pacific Railroad and over 30 years at Hill Air Force Base as a civil engineer.

Dennis took pleasure in all things outdoors, spending countless hours riding horses, hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. A natural athlete, he excelled at many sports, particularly golf. His love of sports included being a deeply loyal BYU fan, and he never missed a chance to cheer on his favorite team.

Above all, Dennis will be remembered for his unwavering faith, deep love for family, and joy in living each day to its fullest. His quiet strength, service to others, and devotion to the Lord created a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew and loved him.

Dennis's legacy lives on through his cherished wife and eternal companion, Judy Wilson of Clinton, Utah; his five devoted children Tamara Lynn Bateman of Tremonton; Kristi Ann (Troy) Nye of Clinton; Cassie Michele (Eric) Dudley of Farmington; Michael Ryan (Mindy) Wilson of Roy; and Cody Kearns (Kilee) Wilson of Parowan; His cherished sisters, Darlene Wilson Funk of San Diego and Susan Wilson Anderson of Salt Lake City, Utah. Nothing brought Dennis greater joy than his family, especially his seventeen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, whose love, laughter, and adventures brightened his days beyond measure. He has now joyfully reunited with his loving parents, Elwood and Norma, his beloved sister Joan, and his precious great-grandson Jameson.

The family offers their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Tyler Dixon who always treated Dennis like family and loved him as his own. Deep gratitude is also extended to Dr. Barbara Kerwin, RN’s Krista, Jackie, Cassidy and the talented respiratory team in the McKay Dee Intensive Care Unit — your compassion and kind hearts will never be forgotten. Thank you to Clinton City Fire Dept./EMS for the care they always provided.
