Dennis Richard Lyon

Dennis Richard Lyon passed away on January 21, 2024 at his home in Layton, Utah. He was born December 19, 1946 in New Jersey to Douglas Richard and Emilie Rose Pinzka Lyon.

He married Kathleen Ann Mauer on July 15, 1976 in Champaign, Illinois.

Dennis served in the United States Air Force for 32 years, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. He lived in Delaware, Ohio, Colorado, and Utah.

He enjoyed reading and playing cards.

Dennis is survived by his wife Kathleen.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 10:15 a.m. at eh Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri, where full military honors will be accorded. Friends may visit with the family 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. prior to services. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, Layton, Utah, with services entrusted to Kurrus Funeral Home in Bellville, Illinois.
