It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend to many, Dennis Falk.
Denny was born in Tremonton, Utah, to DeWayne H and Barbara Tait Falk. He passed peacefully at his home with his wife by his side on April 14, 2025. Denny suffered for many years with COPD, but he gave it a good fight. Finally, he had enough of being tethered to an oxygen machine.
Denny graduated from Bear River High School in 1966 then moved to Ogden to work at Defense Depot of Ogden for a few years. After that he left DDO, he left and found his passion working construction and never looked back. He got his license, started his own company, and built many of the nice subdivisions in Ogden. He enjoyed his work immensely and was even able to hire his son and grandson to work with him. He has received many awards and a lot of compliments on his work throughout the years. He built the home he has lived in the last 19 years.
Denny married Barbara Barger on July 12, 1968. They have enjoyed 56 years together having fun and spending time doing fun things together. They had their daughter, Darci on June 14, 1971, and their son Michael on January 9, 1975. As a foursome they went on many fun trips and made many wonderful memories. Denny loved his family and was loved very much by them in return. He was a great husband, dad, and “Popa”. Disneyland and cruises with family were some of our best times. Family vacations were the BEST for him. Our last family trip was to CanCun he was so happy and had so much fun. He didn’t have to be on oxygen except to sleep and he loved it so much.
He loved his Harley Davidson motorcycle and going on weeklong trips with his best friend, Ernie Parada. They always had the best time and took lots of pictures to prove it.
Denny is survived by his wife, Barbara; his daughter, Darci; son, Mike (Kathy); and six grandchildren, Taylor (Haley), Abbey, Harley, Miley, Cache, and Connor; and two great-granddaughters, Blakely and Bexton. Also surviving are his brother, David (Sheila) and sister, Laurie (Ron). He is also survived by his beloved ShihTzu, Joey. He loved all of us so much and we will miss him every day.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, John; an infant sister, Barbara; and little brother, Billy; and by his in-laws, Bob and Marie Barger.
We would like to extend a special thanks for our wonderful neighbors and friends who have supported Denny through his illness and stepped up to help with anything that needed done. A special thank you to our son, Mike, who has taken time out of his busy life with work and family to come and fix things or shovel our snow or help take him to doctor’s appointments. We both are so proud and grateful to you.
Thank you to Denny’s great doctors who have done so much to make his life better, Dr. John Hemmersmeier, Dr. Andrew Freeman, and Dr. Yuri Khodakov; and Applegate Home Healthcare.
