Denise Ann Sisitki

February 13, 1963 – April 12, 2023

On April 12, 2023, our beautiful angel gained her wings. After a long battle, she passed at Davis Hospital in Layton with family by her side.

Mom was born to Dennis and Jo Ann McClune on February 13, 1963, in Marysville, CA. She was raised in several states throughout her childhood, until she settled in Layton, UT at the age of 11 due to her Dad’s Military Career.

On June 4, 1985, she married Brad Sisitki, the love of her life, in Ogden. Together they raised two children working hard to provide them a great life. They enjoyed camping and fishing in the Uinta mountains with family and friends. Mom was always the loud, proud cheer leader at the sporting and dance events. Later in life they enjoyed traveling, especially going on cruises with friends that were more like family and spending an evening or weekend in Wendover, NV.

Mom had a magnetic, vibrant spirit that drew people to her. She never met a stranger. She was a soft spoken, sweet, loving, generous woman. It showed in all aspects of her life. She was a dedicated Nurse (LPN) for 25 years. Her passion was caring for the babies in the nursery. Later she shared her gift of healing and love in alternative ways such as reiki, angel readings, therapeutic touch, just to name a few.

Mom loved her husband Brad, daughter Danielle Cox (Garin), grandchildren Tavin, Kyler and Tymberlee Cox, brother Greg McClune (Kelley) and all her nieces and nephews. She was the best Mema. She really glowed when with her grandchildren who adored her.

Mom is preceded in death by her parents and son Bradley Sisitki Jr. (B.J.) who she loved and missed dearly. We can only imagine the smile on her face and the hugs she received at that reunion.

Mom was insistent that she did not want a service so we will be honoring her wishes. Instead of sending flowers please take time to do something kind for someone in your life or a stranger. Spread joy, love and kindness in Mom’s honor. Also, if you haven’t already, please consider becoming an organ donor, it can make all the difference in someone’s life.

Your wings were ready, but our hearts were not.
