David Lynn Williams

November 24, 1954 — April 25, 2023

David Lynn Williams passed away on the morning of April 25, 2023 after a brief illness in Ogden, Utah.  He was born November 24, 1954 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Russell Gardner and Dorothy Russell Williams.  He grew up in Salt Lake City with his older brother Grant and younger brother Jeff and his younger sister Jan.  He attended public schools in Salt Lake City - Forest Elementary, Irving Junior High and Highland High.

In 1977, Dave moved with his parents to Kaysville and then in 1997 moved to Bountiful and finally in 2019 moved to Layton into his own apartment where he was able to live on his own.

Though Dave’s life was filled with some learning and physical disabilities, this did not stop him from doing his thing whether this was working at LDS Church Cafeteria, Lakeview Hospital, Deseret Industries and FedEx.  He was also adventurous and loved the thrill of skiing or a good roller coaster ride.  Dave was a friend to all he encountered and would love to just drop by for an unannounced visit as he rode his bike around Kaysville and later Bountiful.

Dave was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and never missed an opportunity to get a good nap in during a church service and he also served a church service mission at Bishop’s Storehouse in Kaysville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Jeannette and is survived by his siblings Grant (Sandy), Jeff (Laura) and Jan (Neal) Smith and 10 nephews and nieces.

The family would like to thank the caring staff of Ogden Regional Medical Center and the staff of TURN Community Services for their care and devotion to Dave over the past 4 years

There will be a visitation on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the Lindquist Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main Kaysville, from 9:30 am -10:30 am, followed by a graveside service.

Interment will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Dave’s honor to the TURN Community Services     https://www.turncommunityservices.org/donate/
