David Richard Slater

October 1, 1966 ~ February 11, 2022

David Richard Slater, age 55, passed away February 11, 2022. He was born in Ogden on October 1, 1966 to Mollie Joan and Richard Alma Slater. David attended Ogden public schools, graduated from Ogden High, and attended Weber College.

He worked at Fresenius, Flying J, and retired medically from IRS.

David is survived by his father; brother, John Richard “Jack” Slater; and his sister, Sandra Slater Malan. David was preceded in death by his mother and his brother, Richard Scott Slater.

David loved to read. He also enjoyed traveling with his father to Scotland, Hawaii, and cruising the Caribbean. He and his father fished together on South Fork where David holds the record for the largest fish caught between the two.

Special thanks to Roger Adair who among all of David’s friends, continued his association with David after he became ill. David was a very private person with enormous courage. He was his father’s hero and will be missed.
