OGDEN‒ David Jacobo, 67 of Ogden passed away on May 23, 2025. He was born January 30, 1957, in Ogden, Utah, son of Inez and Angela Jacobo. David graduated from Ogden High School and attended Ogden Applied Technology, receiving his Welding Certification and was employed as a plumber for the Ogden City Parks Department where he later retired from.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Orchard Park Ward.
David enjoyed fishing and golfing but especially liked coaching baseball for little league. He played for several years on a men’s baseball team sponsored by Coca-Cola Company.
David loved to watch sports, football and basketball. David was a generous man and would share his time and expertise in his skills as a welder and of a plumber. David was open to learning in all he would do. He loved his family.
Surviving are one son, Brady Dupont; his four brothers, Hector Herrera of Waterford CA; Ruben Jacobo of Salt Lake City; and Henry Jacobo and Michael Jacobo both of Ogden; four sisters, Virginia Montoya of Ogden; Gloria Esquibel of Layton; and Louise Montoya and Mercy Jacobo both of Ogden; 22 nieces and nephews; and 27 great-nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Inez and Angela Jacobo; three older brothers, Raymond Herrera, Carlos Herrera and Steven Jacobo and one younger brother, George Jacobo.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
