David Paul Hamby

David Paul Hamby, 76, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2019. He was born to William “Paul” and Mary Black Hamby in Cincinnati, Ohio, on December 12, 1942.

He married Dorothy Tyrrell in Salt Lake in 1959 and they divorced in 1978. David married Vicky Jean Uriarte Neff on September 20, 1979 in Taylorsville, Utah.

David was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He enjoyed music, guitars, art, and his guns.

David is survived by his wife, Vicky J. Hamby of Taylorsville; sons, Michael Hamby of Wisconsin and Les Hamby of Blulleye, Arizona; daughter, Kathleen Nye of Eden, Heather of Huntsville, and Danielle Porter of Ogden; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother, Chet Hamby of Price; and sisters, Marieatta Whitney of St. George, Sharon McNiell of Heber, and Judy Slater of St. George. He was preceded in death by his two daughters, Shawna and Kelly and his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 16, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family Monday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
