Darrell Harrison Hood, 68, passed away Friday, April 27, 2007 at McKay-Dee Hospital.

He was born July 24, 1938 in Frontier, Wyoming to Peter W. and Anona May Eisenhart Hood. He was raised and educated in Wyoming by his mother and step-father, Chester A. Quinton.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1960 to 1963. After the service he moved to Ogden, Utah.

On December 16, 1963, Darrell married Kathleen LaMont in Ogden.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Darrell worked for Fife Rock Products for 17 years, Six States Distributors for 5 years and retired in September 2006 from Jack B. Parson''s Company as a diesel mechanic, after 21 years of employment.

He enjoyed working and easily made many friends every where he went. Darrell was always willing to help anyone in need.

Darrell is survived by his wife, Kathleen; two sons, Dean LaMont Hood, Lamars, IA; Shawn Todd (Tawsha) Hood, Huntsville; Amy Kathleen (Clynt) Citte, Willard; Misty Colleen (Dustun) Johnson, Ogden; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Roger (Carolyn) Quinton, Pocatello, ID; and a sister, Dora (Lloyd) Reed, Evanston, WY.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Lee Darrel Hood and one brother, Harold A. Quinton.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 1st at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Friends and family may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m., at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
