Our mother and grandmother, Darleen Elizabeth Pugmire King, 82, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012 at McKay-Dee Hospitalfrom complications following a fall.
She was born May 30, 1929 in St. Charles, Idaho to Lamont and Myrtle Arnell Pugmire.
On May 21, 1947, Darleen married Dale H. King in the Logan LDS Temple. They became the parents of two children, Lamont and Debra. They enjoyed 61 years together before Dale''s passing in December 2008.
Darleen acquired many choice friends and associates through service to her family, her church, her places of employment and the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, family history and cooking for the purpose of blessing others. Her favorite times were spent with family and friends. She lived to enjoy 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Darleen is survived by her children, Lamont "Montie" (Deborah) King, Debra (Ray) Cornia, three brothers, Junior, Averill, and Jaren Pugmire and one sister, Nadine Sprouse.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother, Bill Pugmire and one sister, Elgie "Geeg" Garner.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 12th at 11 a.m. at the West Point 9th LDS Chapel, 855 North 4000 West.
The family will meet with friends on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Interment, West Point Cemetery.
