Darin John Terry

May 18, 1971 — July 29, 2025

Darin John Terry, born May 18, 1971, in Murray, Utah, to Judith Spencer and John Redell Terry, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on July 29, 2025.

From a young age Darin was full of energy and had a deep sense of adventure. Nicknamed “Daredevil,” he lived up to the name. He was never one to back down from a challenge and always ready to chase after what he wanted in life.

Darin had a life-long dream of becoming a truck driver, which he did for 29 years. He traveled the highways and back roads of the United States hauling freight and making memories. He drove for several companies throughout his career, but his longest period was for Stokes Trucking in Tremonton, UT.

In addition to trucking, Darin was deeply involved with the rodeo world, working for many years with Bar T Rodeo, whether in the arena or behind the scenes. He found purpose and joy in the rodeo community. Darin especially treasured his time traveling with his close friend, bullfighter Scott Dechow.

Darin never met a stranger. He had a natural gift for striking up conversations and making friends wherever he went. He was known for his generous heart, his willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need, and for his deep devotion to his family. He would drop everything for his kids and grandkids and there was nothing he loved more than being with them.

His family was the center of his world, and he loved all of them unconditionally.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Intermountain Hospice, particularly Amber and Anna Marie, for all their kind and loving care.

Darin leaves behind his wife of 27 years, Jennifer Garside Terry, Washington Terrace; Darin Joshua (Amber Jones) Terry, Ogden; Connor Terry; and Hadlee Terry, both of Washington Terrace. His greatest assets lately were his grandkids, Zoey, Dackson, Dax, Zander, and Oakley.

He deeply loved all of his kids and grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Terry; nephew, Bryce Kennedy; uncle, David Spencer; and by his grandparents.
