Daniel Cisowski, 79, passed away at his home in the early morning hours of Wednesday, December 31, 2025, of complications from Multiple Meyloma cancer. He was born in Ogden, Utah, on February 12, 1946, the son of Edward Daniel and June Whiting Cisowski. He grew up in the Ogden area, attended Bonneville Elementary, Central Jr. High, and graduated from Ogden High School Class of 1964.
He was drafted into the Army, later served with the 425th National Guard Unit, and 32 years later he retired from the 419th Air Force Reserves.
Dan married Melanie Bunderson in Elko, Nevada, on August 25, 1967. They raised two incredible sons together, Jeff and Todd. Todd passed away at age 31 years from brain cancer. Dan was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
As a young man, Dan was an avid baseball player. At age 15, he played in the Babe Ruth Hardball League and had the opportunity of playing in Hawaii. He was also a member of the Tri-State Major League Men's Softball League. In his later years, his love for playing baseball was replaced by a love for golf. He was a member of The Barn Men's Golf Association. After he retired from Hill Field Air Base as an Electroplater, he went to work part-time at The Barn Golf Course. He also loved to take guy trips with his son, Jeff, and meet up with his friends in Wendover to gamble.
Dan is survived by his wife, Melanie; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Wanette Cisowski; daughter-in-law, Amy Fowers Cisowski; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Marilyn (Lee) Summerill, Carol Warner, and Janet Mullinax.
He was preceded in death by a baby boy, who died at birth; his son, Todd; his parents; his brother, Thomas Cisowski; and brother-in-law, Rick Mullinax.
As per Dan’s wishes no formal services will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
