Dale Larkin peacefully passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on February 23, 2026, in Mesquite, Nevada, just shy of his 84th birthday. He .was born on February 26, 1942, in Brigham City, Utah, to Gerald Andrew and Sue Margery Larkin. He was raised in Willard, Utah.

He married Carol Larkin and they raised three boys together, Ray, James and Todd in Bountiful, Utah.

Dale was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Dale's life was characterized by his deep love for family, and his adventurous pursuits and. He had a passion for the great outdoors. He found joy in camping and fishing, often sharing these pursuits with loved ones. His adventurous spirit also led him to the thrill of riding motorcycles, further exemplifying his love for exploration and freedom.

Dale is survived by his two sons, Ray and James; his longtime companion, Nadra Allen; his 10 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Todd Larkin.

He was loved by many, “Happy Dan” was a good friend, loved to have a good time, and was a one-of-a-kind man.

Graveside services will be held Monday, March 2, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at the Willard Cemetery, Highway 89 in Willard,  Friends may visit with family on Monday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Lindquist's North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd.
