Curtis Todd Barrow

November 2, 1978 — January 9, 2024

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our amazing husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Curtis Todd Barrow left us unexpectedly on January 9, 2024. Even though we are grieving his physical absence, we are so grateful and comforted to know our family will be together for eternity and that he is paving the way to our heavenly home.

Curtis was born to Dean and Ann Barrow on November 2, 1978, and was raised in Clearfield, graduating from Clearfield High. He received an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering and two Master’s degrees in Business and Engineering from the University of Utah. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Florida. After turning home, Curtis was so excited to find his beautiful life companion, Mindy. They were married on January 18, 2002, in the Salt Lake Temple, and next week would have been their 22nd wedding anniversary. Shortly after marrying, Curtis was deployed by the Army National Guard to serve in Afghanistan for 18 months. He was proud to serve his country and never uttered a complaint. His only regret was leaving his “cute wife” (his favorite nickname for his sweet Mindy). Every day they were apart, Curtis wrote a sweet poem for her.

Curtis had a great work ethic and never gave up on his lofty goals and aspirations. He was an amazing provider and always worked hard to take care of his loving family. One of his passions was teaching robotics in the schools. He loved supporting his kids in swim, cheer and dance.

Curtis is survived by his loving wife, Mindy, and four beautiful kids: Caleb (17), Maddie (15), Kenzie (13), and Bryndee (10); his father and mother Dean and Ann Barrow and siblings Brian (Kim), Boyd (Leslie), Gayanne (Tommy) and Alyson (Zach), and many nieces and nephews; and his parents-in-law Joe and Dee Flurer.

Curtis is preceded in death by his grandparents, great aunt Hannah, brother Spencer and brother-in-law Ryan Moore.

Services to celebrate Curtis’ life will be held on January 15, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at the LDS Chapel at 2120 W. Gentile Street, Layton, Utah. Friends may visit with family from 10:00 to 12:00 p.m. prior to services.  There will be a small luncheon for family and friends at 1:30 pm.

Arrangements are made under the direction of Lindquist Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road, Layton, Utah.

In lieu of flowers, donations to help offset funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated. You may donate at gofundme.com - Curtis Barrow Memorial Fund or through Mindy’s mom’s Venmo account @Deanne-Flurer.

Curtis, we love you to the Moon! To quote a phrase from his favorite song, “See You Again,”

It's been a long day without you, my friend
And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again
