Crystal Ann Venderio

June 4, 1952 — April 28, 2025

Our warrior mom made the decision to join those who went before her, on April 28, 2025, in Roy, Utah, after a courageous 4-year battle with cancer.

She was born June 4, 1952, in San Bernadino, California to Harry and Betty Moody. Mom was the oldest of five children and enjoyed close relationships with her parents and her siblings. Grandma and Grandpa Moody relocated to Utah when Mom was a teenager, and she graduated from Bonneville High School.

Mom was employed with and retired from the Internal Revenue Service after 33 years of service.

Mom met her soulmate on St. Patrick’s Day in 1986 and he never left her side. He supported Mom in all the things she ever chose to do and was in her presence when she left this world.

Mom enjoyed crafts, sewing, reading, yardwork (flower beds), purchasing cleaning supplies and tools, home improvement projects, and vacationing (anywhere near a beach) with her family. She was always up for an adventure, agreeing to assist with animal rescue transports, caring for feral and abandoned cats in her local community (as well as in Las Vegas when visiting her youngest), and volunteering at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. Mom was always willing to pick up her oldest from the bar with a pit stop to Del Taco and never batted an eye when either daughter would show up with new tattoos.

Mom is survived by her daughters, Becky and Andrea; her soulmate, Craig B. Feller; her sister, Sherrell Hart; and niece, Keila Valenti.

Mom was preceded in death by father, Harry Moody; mother, Betty Moody; sister, Daun Jordan; brothers, Danny Moody; Timmy Moody; and numerous dogs and cats that graced all of our homes throughout her lifetime.

A special “Thank You” to the doctors and nurses at Utah Hematology Oncology, specifically Dr. Carl Gray and Nurse Mary; Atlas Home Health, specifically Amos, Katie, and Tiki for their kindness, education, and support during the most difficult time; and to Kathy Preston and Shari Casper for their special friendship that mom so appreciated.

At mom’s request, there will be no service. Mom will be transported to Hawaii so that a part of her may be placed in the beach setting that she so dearly loved.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to your local animal shelter/rescue in our mother’s name.
