It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Craig Albert Haslam, who unexpectedly left us on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. Born on November 19, 1958, and raised in the picturesque surroundings of Salt Lake City, Utah. Craig developed a deep and abiding love for the outdoors from a young age. His happiest moments were often spent immersed in nature, whether he was camping under a starlit sky, patiently fishing in a quiet stream, riding a horse, or enjoying the thrill of the hunt. These passions weren’t just hobbies; they were integral to who Craig was, offering him peace, solace, and a profound connection to the world around him. He also held a special place in his heart for animals, particularly his beloved horses and dogs finding companionship and joy in their presence.
Craig was the bedrock of his family, settling in West Point, Utah. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, April Haslam, and a loving father to his children Heather, Corey and Michelle. His family was his greatest joy and his proudest accomplishment. He poured his heart into supporting them, celebrating their triumphs, and navigating life’s challenges by their sides. The memories they made together, from family camping trips to everyday moments, will be cherished forever.
Beyond his family and outdoor pursuits, Craig was a respected and successful businessman. He built and ran a thriving concrete company, a testament to his strong work ethic, integrity, and dedication. Craig’s business wasn’t just a livelihood; it was another avenue through which he contributed to the world around him, leaving a tangible mark on the landscape he so deeply appreciated.
Craig’s passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who knew him. He will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family, his adventurous spirit, his quiet strength, his love for his animal companions, and his generous heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Thelma Wagstaff and William Donald Haslam, and a brother, Douglas Haslam.
He is survived by his wife April; his children, Heather (Jake) Tafoya, Corey Haslam, Michelle (Brandon) Comeau; grandchildren, Michael and Kylee Littlefield, Kaycee Tafoya and Karson Connelly, McKenly Gardiner, Dallas and Hunter Haslam. A great grand-daughter Charlee Littlefield; brothers, Scott and Gary Haslam; sisters, Sandra Badger and RaNae Randall, extended family members and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Syracuse Mortuary. 869 South 2000 West. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
