Connor Clayton

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Connor William Clayton on Saturday, March 16, 2024 in Layton, Utah.    He was born April 7, 2001 the son of Clair William and Shaunna Tolman Clayton.

His smile would light up a room, he had such a kind heart and cared deeply about his family and friends.  His daughter Violet was the greatest joy of his life.  He was so proud to be her “dada.”  She changed his world in all the right ways.  He loved taking her on errands, walks in the neighborhood and making her laugh.  

Connor enjoyed family vacations, snow skiing, playing video games with his friends and experimenting with new recipes.  Fishing and boating were his true happy places.   One of his greatest fishing days was when he caught one of Pineview’s Monster Tiger Muskies. He could spend hours on the lake with his Dad.  Connor was very proud to be an Eagle Scout.

He enjoyed participating at school in the orchestra, wrestling, golf and working on cars with friends from the DATC.  He loved working at Harmons, the many friends he met and the support he received from his caring boss.

He will be dearly missed by his parents, his sweet daughter Violet Clayton and her mother Lanna Wilson; siblings, Sarah (Jeremiah) Oster, Jesse (Jami) Clayton, Aaron (Katie) Clayton, Eric Clayton, Chelsea Clayton; grandparents Max (Jackie) Tolman and many loving and supportive extended family members.    Preceded in death by his grandmother Nyla Tolman, and grandparents Vaughn and Marjorie Clayton.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Monday, March 25, 2024 at the Lakeview Ward Chapel, 2505 North Church St. Layton, Utah.   Friends may visit family, Sunday, March 24^th from 6-8 pm at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. and Monday from 9:30-10:30 am at the Church prior to services.  Interment Lindquist Memorial Park Layton.
