Colleen McGill Crittenden

Colleen McGill Crittenden passed away peacefully on March 8, 2012 in her sleep. Colleen was born in Ogden on November 4, 1954 to George and Ester McGill. She grew up in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School in 1973, where she also worked as a student aide at Hill Air Force Base. She continued working at H.A.F.B. where she retired after many years of service. Colleen married Johnny Crittenden on September 23, 1976. Later their marriage was solemnized and they were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple to their son Joshua.

During her childhood she enjoyed spending time at her parent''s cabin at Christmas Meadows. She was an exceptional artist. She loved doing crafts and was an avid collector. She enjoyed sharing her crafts and artwork with family and friends. Colleen loved the outdoors and all animals.

Colleen was very athletic, specializing in gymnastics. She trained and showed her dog Laddie in many AKC competitions.

Colleen was a beautiful wife, loving mother and grandmother. Colleen is survived by her husband, Johnny; son and daughter-in-law, Joshua (Brenda) Crittenden and siblings: Pat (Lois) McGill, Bruce (LouRee) McGill, Georgia Mack, Kevin (Janice) McGill, Shelly (Bill) McGill-Pledger; and 8 grandchildren, Paysha, Emma, Riley, Tallin, Jaylee, Houston, Ali, and Seth.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Maureen.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
