CLEARFIELD a" Clifford Gorman Oshel, 92 passed away at his home Thursday, February 9, 2012.
He was born March 17, 1919 in Creston, Iowa, the son of Robert Earl Oshel and Eleanor Joneson.
Cliff married Virginia Skanchy March 3, 1967.
He was a survivor of the D-day invasion (Omaha Beach) and Battle of the Bulge in World War II. Cliff was very proud of his Military Service as well as his service as a police officer. He retired from Hill Air Force Base after 28 years of service. The work he enjoyed the most was working in his yard.
Cliff is survived by his wife. He is preceded in death by his parents.
We mourn the loss of the last of the generation of Oshels that lived and survived in the Great Depression and fought in World War II.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road, So. Ogden. Friends may visit family Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd.
