Clark G. Skinner

July 22, 1947 ~ May 17, 2015

Our dear sweet husband, father, and grandfather, Clark G. Skinner, passed away suddenly due to a brief illness, Sunday, May 17, 2015.  Born July 22, 1947 in Ogden, Utah. He graduated from Bonneville High School.  He married his best friend and eternal companion, Nadean Strebel, November 5, 1965 in the Logan LDS Temple.  Together they had two beautiful daughters, Michelle and Debra.  Clark was blessed with six grandchildren; they were his pride and joy.  He was anxiously awaiting the birth of his first great-granddaughter.

Clark was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many capacities. One of his favorite callings was serving as ward and stake librarian.

Clark retired from DDO.  Clark’s favorite pastime was being involved in every aspect of his grandchildren’s life.  Before his declining health he took great pride in his yard and garden.  Clark enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially a round of golf.

Special thanks to the Greenwell family for teaching Clark unconditional love. This enabled him to not only be the best father figure to his daughters, but also to his grandchildren.

Clark is survived by his wife, Nadean of 49 years; daughter, Debbie (Jason Cantonwine); grandchildren, Chelsi, Shaylie (Jeremy and son K.J. Haskell), Jarah and Kestin Cable, Colton and Bridger Sei; two dogs, Buster and Snowball.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Athleen G. Skinner and daughter, Michelle Cable.

We will be forever grateful for the compassionate care given to Clark by the medical staff, especially Dr. Stayner and Dr. Fedor.

Our family wishes to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and sympathy during this difficult time.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Ben Lomond Cemetery.  Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd.

Thanks for being my dad, my mentor, and my friend.  I will miss you more than words can express.  You meant the world to me dad – I love you.  Debbie.
