Christine Ione Horn gently passed from this earth and into the loving embrace of her awaiting husband on March 25, 2026.
She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 17, 1945, to Roy and Ione Clayton. She was raised in Clearfield, Utah in a largely rural setting during her youth.
Christine was quite the tomboy growing up. She had countless stories of climbing trees, catching bugs, hunting rabbits, fishing, playing at the local pond and many other adventures with her neighborhood friends.
She also shared a love for music with her mother and played piano at an early age. She greatly enjoyed both playing and instructing piano for many years.
Eventually she met the love of her life, Robert Horn, and were married on January 17, 1967. They later decided to become sealed for time and eternity in the Ogden Temple. Together they raised a family of five children.
Christine loved being a wife, mom and homemaker. Her home was always a welcoming gathering place for countless friends and family over the decades. She always had a project going on at home, and loved crafts like gardening and knitting. All of her children and grandchildren remember the legendary slippers she hand made for them.
Her faith in the LDS Gospel was a cornerstone in her life, and she held many church callings over the years.
Christine touched every life she encountered and is a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She has had many deep and lasting relationships over the years and will forever remain a source of love in our hearts.
She is survived by her brother, Lyle (Joann) Clayton; children, Debra (Bryan) McNally, Troy (Alicia) Horn, Tamara (Karl) Ney, Robert (Heather) Horn, Royal (Danyell) Horn; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
We would like to offer our sincerest thank you to both the staff at Chancellor Gardens and Symbii Home Health and Hospice.
