Chlothel Gale Riddel, a lifelong resident of Ogden passed away on February 8, 2012 of natural causes.

Clothel was born on April 21, 1921 in Ogden to Joseph Hyrum and Kathryn Drysdale Gale. She graduated from Ogden High School. She was a member of the LDS Church. She was married to C. H. "Pete" Riddel who passed away in 1998.

She started her retail career at Lighthouse Electric Company and worked for the Bank of Utah, Buehler & Binghams men''s store and managed Arden and Anita dress shops

After retirement, she volunteered at the Ogden Rescue Mission in medical services and also was a past volunteer at Ogden Union Station Museum.

She is a lifelong member of the Eagles and Elk Lodges of Ogden. She was the Eagle Drill captain for several years. Recently she won the 2009 - 2010 Eagle of the year award and was inducted into the Eagle''s Hall of Fame.

She was proceded in death by three sisters, Josephine, Maxine, and Beverly.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be sent to the Ogden Rescue Mission.
